The Community Ambassador (CA) role is designed to contribute to the process of building capacity within World Relief, the refugee and immigrant communities we serve, and the general community, to promote the integration and empowerment of newcomers in the Chicagoland area. This team member would be stationed in the office but also work at offsite events, working with the preferred community team to ensure newcomers are welcomed into the community. Through community group activities and targeted community outreach, the CA plays a vital role in communicating information out to community members and in representing to the larger World Relief Chicagoland team the trends and requests they hear and observe in their respective communities. This position will also be responsible for providing group facilitation for at least one group meeting every week.

Early Childhood Education Coordinator

Group Facilitator and Case Specialist

Intake, Assessment, and Referral Case Worker

Through the Preferred Communities Intake, Assessment and Referral (IAR) program this position will provide case management services to asylees, Cuban/Haitian Entrants, and other Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) eligible populations that arrived to the United States outside of the refugee resettlement program. Case management responsibilities will include activities such as assistance in accessing public benefits, housing, medical service provision, school enrollment assistance, and referrals to legal services and educational providers. This position is based in Chicago and requires visits to refugee families primarily in northern Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Intensive Case Worker (Part-time)

Through the Preferred Communities (PC) program, the Intensive Case Worker position provides case management to clients who require care beyond the scope of primary case management services. The position will help participants requiring specialized medical or mental healthcare to better integrate into the community by learning to overcome barriers and do things such as learn how to access services to manage their disability and/or medical condition; overcome obstacles to employment; address mental health issues; and reach self-sufficiency in all areas of vulnerability.

Senior Services Community Ambassador

Senior Services Ukrainian Case Worker
