Mentoring Companions are individuals who desire to help a refugee with community integration by providing life skills, spending quality time together and sharing cultures with each other. A Mentoring Companion decides tasks from a variety of activities to choose from. 4-6 month commitment. 2 hours/week. Flexible schedule.

Learning English is one of the most critical areas of support needed for new refugees. You can help refugees and immigrants with literacy skills. Family based. An English Language Assistant decides tasks. WR may assist with materials. 4-6 month commitment. 2 hours/week. Teaching experience helpful but not required.

Come alongside job seekers in a variety of ways including individual job coaching, teaching workshops, crafting resumes, setting up LinkedIn accounts and being part of mock interviews to prepare clients for the workplace in the United States. 4-6 month commitment. 2 hours/week. Employment Orientation Class.

Office volunteers are essential to greet and welcome visitors to the office as well as provide administrative or special project support. 4 hours/week, select from 1-5 pm shifts available M, T, Th, Fr.

Our Resettlement Assistants come alongside WR staff and refugee and immigrant clients with task-based support, as well as assist at various client appointments. 4 hours/week, shift TBD.

Help refugee and immigrant clients learn and navigate the public transportation system. Interact with many client cultures. 4 hours/week. Flexible schedule.

The ILS program serves low-income immigrants in need of legal assistance. The program engages and trains legal professionals and others to serve their immigrant neighbors through citizenship workshops. It offers relevant legal education to help vulnerable populations know their rights. Some training available.
