Tim Breene

CEO

Tim Breene served on the World Relief Board from 2010 to 2015 before assuming the role of CEO in 2016. Tim’s business career has spanned nearly 40 years with organizations like McKinsey and Accenture where he was the Corporate Development Officer and Founder and Chief Executive of Accenture Interactive. Tim is the co-author of Jumping the S-Curve, published by Harvard Publishing. Tim and his wife, Michele, a longtime supporter of World Relief, have a wealth of experience working with Christian leaders in the United States and around the world.

Scott A

Scott Arbeiter

President

Scott Arbeiter’s proven marketplace skills, pastoral experience, passion for mission and history with World Relief uniquely equip him for his role as President of World Relief. Scott was a partner at Arthur Andersen serving in a variety of functions over his seventeen-year marketplace career. In 2001, Scott resigned from the partnership to serve at Elmbrook Church in Milwaukee, where he became Lead Pastor. Scott has also served on World Relief’s Board of Directors for nearly a decade, including three years as Chairman. After finishing his term on the board in 2015 Scott became a consultant and advisor to World Relief Leadership. Scott has been married to Jewel for thirty-three years and together they have raised three daughters, Kelsey, Jacquelyn, and Karis, all of whom have grown to love and serve Christ in their own remarkable ways.

Kevin S

Kevin Sanderson

CAO

Kevin Sanderson began working with World Relief in 1991 in Nicaragua. Since that time, he has been a key leader in the International Programs Division, as well as serving four years as the organization's Chief Financial Officer. His focus on agricultural value chains, organizational development and his many years of experience in the field of program design and management have allowed Kevin to engage diverse roles around the globe for World Relief. Kevin holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri. Kevin resides in Maryland with his wife, Alcira, and their two children.

Megan A

Megan Ashley

Marketing Director

Megan Ashley serves as the Marketing Director for World Relief, and is a current fellow at The Coaching Fellowship, an international community of young women leaders of impact. She brings experience in operations and organizational effectiveness to the world of marketing, and believes that great work comes from strong relationships and a supported team. An alum of DePaul University, Megan lives in Chicago and loves to travel almost as much as she loves to read.

Jennifer F

Jennifer Foy

VP of U.S. Ministries

Jennifer Foy joined World Relief in 2007 as a volunteer in serving many refugee families before joining the staff in 2014. She served in the High Point North Carolina Triad office until April 2019 when she moved to World Relief’s headquarters in Baltimore to take on a national role. In her current role she oversees the program management and development across all U.S. network of offices. She brings 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience leading local nonprofits. Jennifer grew up in Oregon and received a B.A. Sociology from Western Oregon University and later a M.P.A. from Norwich University in Vermont. She lives in Maryland with her husband Will.

Karen G

Karen González

Director of Human Resources

Karen González is the Director of Human Resources at World Relief, bringing over 10 years of experience as an HR professional in the nonprofit world. She is also a speaker, writer, and immigrant advocate, who immigrated from Guatemala as a child. Karen lives in Baltimore, MD, where she enjoys writing, cooking, traveling, and watching baseball. She is a former public school teacher and attended Fuller Theological Seminary, where she studied theology and missiology. She wrote a book about her own immigration story and the many immigrants found in the Bible: The God Who Sees: Immigrants, The Bible, and the Journey to Belong (Herald Press, May 2019).

Myal G

Myal Greene

SVP of International Programs

Myal Greene has a deep desire to see churches around the world equipped, empowered and engaged to meet the needs of vulnerable families in their communities. This passion was developed and refined during the eight years he spent in Rwanda leading teams focused on innovating and implementing church lead community transformation programs. He has served with World Relief since 2007, and has held a variety of positions including Rwanda Country Director, Africa Regional Director, and Director for Developing Countries. He currently serves as Senior Vice President for International Programs and has the privilege to oversee World Relief’s work around the world. He has previous experience working with the U.S. Government and degrees Fuller Theological Seminary (MA) and Lehigh University (B.S.). He is married to his wife Sharon and they have three children.

Jame M

James Misner

SVP of Strategic Engagement

As SVP of Strategic Engagement, James Misner helps churches, foundations and individuals stand with the vulnerable in the U.S. and around the world. Leading teams domestically and internationally, James seeks to facilitate meaningful cross-cultural experiences leading to deeper levels of discipleship. Prior to joining World Relief, James served on the pastoral staff at Wheaton Bible Church, leading global outreach efforts, and also on the outreach staff of McLean Bible Church. James received his undergraduate degree from American University and a Master's degree from Wheaton College. He lives in Maryland with his wife, Sabrina, and their family.

Jenny Y

Jenny Yang

SVP of Advocacy & Policy

Jenny Yang provides oversight for all advocacy initiatives and policy positions at World Relief. She has worked in the Resettlement section of World Relief as the Senior Case Manager and East Asia Program Officer, where she focused on advocacy for refugees in the East Asia region and managed the entire refugee caseload for World Relief. Prior to World Relief, she worked at one of the largest political fundraising firms in Maryland managing fundraising and campaigning for local politicians. She is co-author of Welcoming the Stranger: Justice, Compassion and Truth in the Immigration Debate, serves as Chair of the Refugee Council USA (RCUSA) Africa Work Group, and was named one of the “50 Women to Watch” by Christianity Today.
